Announcing our next Youth Pastor's Connection

March 17, 2011 (Thursday)
Noon - 3 p.m.

Northwest Conference Office
3106 S. 47th Ave
Minneapolis 55406

Peter WohlerWe hope to see you at this month's Connection! Peter Wohler from Source Ministries of Minneapolis will be joining us. Source is located in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country (100 languages within 1/5 miles, Mpls. Art Institute across the street, and shelters within blocks). Source has been a Friend (responding to physical and housing needs) and a Voice (communicating God's love and forgiveness) to the marginalized and skeptical since 1995.

Broken homes, homelessness, prostitution, drugs, dropping out of high school and past abuse have been realities for the 15-25 year olds they serve. Homeless Youth Outreach, the Fallout Urban Art Center & Art Coop, Transitional Homes, and 24/7 prayer weeks have all become part of Source's mission to unchurched and over-churched young people. Source is also beginning a new transitional home for those caught in the sex trafficking industry called the Annex in 2011.

Peter hopes to raise our awareness of the realities of homeless youth in MN, of those living on the margins, address where they are coming from and the need for youth groups to be a friend and a voice to the marginalized they see at school and in their own communities.

We hope you can join us! Bring a lunch! A time to connect with, learn from & support one another!
