Grace Church Roseville
www.comingtogethertc.org
Presented by GMAE - The Minnesota Association of Evangelicals

The Northwest Conference is excited to be co-sponsoring and
participating in the planning for our 3rd Coming Together Conference-a leadership conference on multicultural ministry.

We are excited to announce 2 great additions to the conference:

The Rev. Richard Coleman will be joined by 3 leaders from African American congregations to give us an intimate view of "The ministry of historic African-American churches in Twin Cities' Neighborhoods".

This workshop will help participants learn "more about their neighbor" by telling the stories of African-American led congregations and their historic and current presence at a neighborhood level.

This workshop alone will be the worth the price of admission!

Rev. Coleman will will be joined by:

Secondly, we are excited to announce a 3rd plenary session presented by NAE titled "The Washington Discussion: An insiders' perspective on evangelicals' efforts to reform immigration."

This session will feature 3 individuals who are working closely with evangelical denominational and national leaders to advocate for immigration reform that protects our borders, strengthens family unity, preserves human rights, respects the rule of law and provides fair labor laws.

Samuel Rodriguez, and Jenny Hwang and Matthew Soerens (NAE/World Relief) have become leading voices for evangelicals, speaking to congregations and leaders nation-wide, testifying before congress, and offereing a compelling, Biblical-based approach to resolving the challenges presented by immigration in the United States.

Keynote Speaker
Coming Together 2010 keynoteRev. Samuel Rodriquez has been named one of the "7 most influential Hispanic leaders" in America. As President of the NHCLC that represents 16 million Hispanic Christians, Rodriguez boldly proclaims, "We want Hispanics to be the forerunners, and preservers, of our Christian faith
in America."

He meets frequently with members of congress, and participates in White House meetings, advocating on issues of justice, family values and immigration on behalf of Hispanic evangelicals.

Minnehaha Academy Covenant Pastor's Luncheon

Our school, Minnehaha Academy, invites Covenant pastors to attend a luncheon at the North campus on Nov. 4 at 11:30 a.m. This will be a time to learn more of what our school has to offer and to help our pastors encourage their people to consider enrolling in our school.

It's a boy!

Todd and Charity Kardell (Redeemer youth pastor) had a baby boy, Silas Otto, 7 lbs. 14 oz., on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 5:03 a.m. Mother and son are healthy and doing well.

NWC Church Resource Bank

One great feature of the new Northwest Conference website is our ability to connect churches with specific needs, with those who have resources to share. The site features a "Church Resource Bank," and our vision for this page is that churches with items or resources (e.g. curriculum, equipment, other assets) they no longer have need for would post them for those who might find the resources helpful.

If you think your church has something to share, please email What's Available, Church Name, a Brief Description, and Contact Information, to Cheryl at the Northwest Conference office.

If your church has a need, remember to check back often for new postings.

NWC videos

New video series highlights ministry priorities of the NWC

The Northwest Conference recently released a series of video segments designed to highlight ministry priorities of the conference, including: "Congregational Vitality," "Church Planting" and "Children, Youth & Family."

The videos are designed for use throughout the year in church new member classes, services and other adult education opportunities to help congregations better understand and engage the work of the Northwest Conference.

The series is currently available on the new NWC web site's video page. The videos are also available in even higher definition on Vimeo (click here) and this would be the ideal source for streaming the series in your church or group.
