Announcing our next Youth Pastor's Connection

Minneapolis 55406 We want to invite you to join us for our first Youth Pastor's Connection
of the new school year. We look forward to re-connecting with you or extending
a special welcome to you if you are new with us.  We are also excited to have Rick Mattson joining us for training
this month. Rick is the former regional director for Intervarsity Christian
Fellowship in the state of Minnesota and recently was appointed as a national
apologist for IV. Rick is going to focus our attention on "Preparing Students
for Post-High School." Many Christian students become inactive in their
faith when they graduate, go off to college, enter the workforce or wander
through prolonged adolescents. Others thrive and grow! We'll explore together
getting students ready to serve God as missionaries in the postmodern
university or secular society. We hope you can join us! Bring a lunch! A time to connect
with, learn from & support one another!We meet for Youth Pastor's Connection at the NWC office on Thursdays
from Noon-3 p.m. This year's dates: 2010 Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 18

Getting Started The
first two years of ministry can be hard! Join Tiger McLuen and Youth
Leadership's staff for Getting Started. A
morning filled with practical steps on how to be successful in your ministry
right away and for the long run! Thursday, Oct. 7, (9 a.m.-Noon) at the YL training center
in Arden Hills, MN. Just $25 per person. 
S.A.L.T. (Student Action Leadership Training)
S.A.L.T. is a half-day training event for student leaders (who
are current high school students) and adult staff to be more fully-informed and
equipped with insights and tools to lead their youth groups and peers
effectively in the church and within their wider communities. This year S.A.L.T.
will take place on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Bloomington Covenant Church. We
are partnering with Youth Leadership and Tiger McLuen's team in designing the
day and our theme this year will be: "The Battle for the Leader's Mind."

We know that once the year starts, it flies. So we wanted to catch you
early to save the date for Recharge 2011! Recharge
2011 will be on Jan. 8! What is Recharge? A one-day conference designed to encourage and
inspire teams of people who minister to youth, children and families. ( learn more) Saturday, Jan., 8. (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) Registration opens Oct. 1! Tickets start at only $28 per person! Why Come to Recharge?-
