As the end of the school year approaches, we would like to pass on a few updates...

CRVAEA Elections - Call for Nominations

Straight from the recent VAEA email...

The time for nominations for regional officers is upon us.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to encourage and support a colleague to become involved with the VAEA.  Take a moment and nominate someone now--or consider running for an office yourself.  During these difficult times your professional organization is more important than ever.

Call for Nominations
Regional nominations are now requested for the following officers:
 
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
 
Nomination forms are required.  Nominees must complete a Consent to Serve Form and a Standardized Vita Form.  All forms are located on the VAEA Website.
 
The deadline for submission of the nomination form, consent to serve form and standardized vita form is July 1.

Note that the term for regional officers is two years and follows the calendar year (not a school year).  The next term starts in January 2011.

Please email Dawn Vass or any current board member if you have any questions.  The organization is more effective when a variety of school districts and teaching experiences are represented.  So even if you are new or haven't been involved before, you can help!
 
CRVAEA Survey Results

Thank you again to those of you who took the recent CR survey.  Board members will use this information to plan future events and focus on our member's interests.

Although some interest was shown in rescheduling our regional conference (canceled in February) for this spring, schedules, speakers and budgets prevented us from doing so.

We do hope that you will join us in late September for a special back-to-school CRVAEA event at the fabulous "new" VMFA.  More details to come!
