Greetings!
You may have read the story in the News Advertiser or heard it on the radio at CKDO or KX96 when Dr. Mark Prieditis was interviewed, but if you didn't, please let me be the one to give you the great news: The Image is Everything campaign is complete and we have exceeded our $5 million fundraising goal.
And we couldn't have done it without you! Yes, last week we announced that the fundraising campaign that brought the first MRI to Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering hospital had reached $5.3 million. It is the culmination of about 20 months of hard work by the campaign team and Foundation staff, along with the many volunteers and countless individual, service club and business donors who came together to make this such a remarkable success. Thank you to everyone who took part in this campaign. The MRI has been very busy in its new permanent home at RVAP's Diagnostic Imaging Unit and is serving the community the way we had hoped and expected when the campaign was first envisioned. Sincerely, Chad Hanna, President & CEORouge Valley Health System Foundation

Rouge Valley innovation for patients wins Cancer Care competition
An innovative computer program to prioritize surgical procedures at Rouge Valley Health System (RVHS) has earned the hospital a $10,000 grant from Cancer Care Ontario (CCO).
The winning proposal was submitted as part of CCO's 'The Operating Room' competition, which was held during the organization's Chief Information Officer (CIO) Day 2012, in February. The contest provided an opportunity to submit an innovative information management or information technology solution addressing a health-care need.
