Greetings!
Of all of the events that the Rouge Valley Health System Foundation holds each year, our annual Gala holds a special place in the hearts of all of the staff, volunteers, sponsors and guests who take part. And thanks to our ultra-patriotic Canadian theme this year, believe me when I say we think you are going to be blown away by the Red, White & Rouge All Over Gala.
We are very excited to be returning to Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility for the second consecutive year. Check out the Gala website to see who is supporting this amazing event and to have a sneak peek at the theme and the entertainment for the evening. If haven't already booked the Gala in your calendar for March 30, 2012, I encourage you to do so right away. It is going to be an amazing night. Chad Hanna, President & CEORouge Valley Health System Foundation

Donor recognition a priority for Foundation
When you visit either Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering hospital, or Rouge Valley Centenary hospital, be sure to look for the beautiful new Donor Walls that have been installed.
Found near the west entrance lobby of RVAP and the main entrance lobby of RVC, the stylish plaques replace older versions.

Heart of it All is on television
The Rouge Valley Health System Foundation is very excited to have had the opportunity to produce a television commercial to support our current Heart of it All campaign. The commercial was shot by Chalet Communications Inc. of Pickering, at the Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering hospital site in the Cardiac Diagnostics Dept. It features video and stills of our very own doctors and staff. Thank you to everyone involved for your support of and enthusiasm for this initiative, as well as for the Heart of It All campaign that is working to bring new echocardiogram machines to both of Rouge Valley's hospitals. Find a link to the commercial on youtube at our blog, Foundation Chat.

Former staffer
recognized with
memorial plaque
RVHS staff, physicians and volunteers celebrated former staffer Rita Galinauskas with the unveiling of a memorial plaque in the Harwood Bistro cafeteria at Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering hospital on Feb. 17.
Rita, a 20-year staff member, was the manager of food and nutrition services, and passed away in November 2010. She had great fondness for RVHS, all staff, her team, and for her culinary vision for the menu at RVAP. Rita was instrumental in the layout of the Harwood Bistro at RVAP, and was looking forward to seeing the final redevelopment project come to fruition. The memorial plaque is a tribute to her passion and vision for the food services program.
Pictured: Roman, Rita's husband, and Thomas, her son, were on hand for the plaque's unveiling.
