Cruzy marché

Looking down from our Cruzy balcony

This love affair called France -

When I'm stuck in a "gray day- wish I were away" rut,I can typically bring a smile to my face if I read an article which captures the soul of France.  Something like this:

...Even at the age of 80, toothless and wrinkled, these men flirt with women and life in general. It's wonderful. And invigorating. This is how life should be lived. They haven't much and are content with very little. But by golly, they know how to make the best out of it...

French Diary

Speaking of Petra Carter, this vibrant Irish woman is taking the dragon by the tail and offering something I've dreamed of participating in for a long while; workshops in creative writing, digital photography and cooking/wine.   Best of all, this year it is based in our sleepy village of Cruzy!

Below is  a sampling of what 2008 will offer.  I invite you to book early to enable you to reserve your time at our Crazy for Cruzy house for the same time period!

You will return home armed with all the information you need, and a few full-proof ideas for dishes that can be re-invented and adapted according to the changing ingredients of every season.
The school also offers creative weeks to include art/painting, photography and creative writing classes (see creative courses)
