Wedding Bells Peal for Easton & Kimberli
| Our youth director, Easton Davis, will be returning from his honeymoon this weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and celebration and our prayers and thanksgivings are with Easton and Kimberli as they return home. It's not too late to contribute to their wedding gift from the parish. You can donate online or earmark a check "Easton Davis Wedding Gift" and place it in the collection plate on Sunday mornings.

Lector Ministry Opportunities
| |
Lectors are especially needed for Saturday evening and for Sunday's 7:45 Mass, but new lectors are always welcome for any Mass. As a Lector, you enter into a relationship with God's Word as revealed in sacred Scripture, and you take upon yourself the duty and privilege of bringing the printed word to life for the benefit of others. When you stand at the lectern, you give voice to ancient words that heal, strengthen, encourage, proclaim, and exhort. If you would like to become a part of this rewarding ministry, please contact ministry coordinator Bob Carrera (b.carrera@ comcast.net or 770-889-4993).

F.E.A.S.T. Groups Forming for Fall
| Kick-Off Gathering: Sunday, September 16 @ 6pm
Feast Groups are starting up again for the Fall! FEAST is a great way to really get to know your fellow parishioners and welcome new ones to St. Columba through fellowship, food and fun. There will be a Kick-Off Social at St. Columba's on Sunday, September 16, at 6:00 pm. This is a chance to learn more about Feast Groups and get acquainted with your group. Groups of 8 - 10 persons (couples and singles) meet once a month or so and rotate houses or restaurants until all have hosted. The Different Groups: REGULAR - Share fellowship and meals at homes: (1) RESTAURANT - Fellowship often begins at homes and meals are shared at restaurants; and, (2) FAMILY - Fellowship and meals at homes. Children are welcome and sitters are arranged by the host family. For home groups, everyone brings a part of the meal so no one is responsible for the whole meal. For more information or to sign up, you can email Linda Williams or sign up at the Welcome Table after Mass. Click Here For More Information >> |
