PALO ALTO, Calif.--Roger Royse, founder of Royse Law Firm, a corporate and tax law firm, announced today that Attorney Hanna Bui has joined the firm to co-chair, along with Attorney Joel Riff, the Technology Transactions practice. "Hanna has deep experience in technology and intellectual property transactions--we look forward to having her support clients on the acquisition, sale, protection, commercialization, and monetization of tech and IP assets," said Royse. "The addition of Hanna is part of an overall vision to beef up our Technology Transactions Group to meet expanding client needs and market demand in an innovative Silicon Valley environment," added Royse.
"I have known Roger Royse for 10 years and see a real opportunity for us to support clients in their day-to-day bread-and-butter deals to generate revenue or to bring in the necessary technology for their business operation. We also want to support technology and IP transfer in connection with major events in a company's life, such as an acquisition," said Bui, who has an office at the firm's Palo Alto location.
Hanna Bui's practice focuses on technology and IP licensing and transfer for various technologies and services such as software, software as a service (SaaS), development services, cloud-based services, mobile computing, and e-commerce. Prior to joining Royse Law Firm, she was the CEO of Technology Transactions Law Group, which she founded in October 2002. She also served as Senior Director and Legal Counsel of BeVocal (subsequently acquired by Nuance Communications), and worked at the Silicon Valley law firms of Cooley Godward and Fenwick & West. She received her law degree cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1997 and her bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California-Davis.
