July 8: Film Discussion TONIGHT

Looking for something to do tonight? ESNC is showing Crash tonight, to be followed by a discussion about themes of racism in the movie.
Time: 7pm Location: Senior Center, 165 Broadway For more information, contact Tito Meza at 617-776-5931 x231 or Father Carr at 617-625-0029.
"A seemingly simple car accident in Los Angeles brings together a very diverse group of people. As their lives collide the issue of racism and racial profiling is explored as each of these people work through their own fears and inherent prejudices. This film is an example of the interconnectedness of life in the melting pot".

Mug Shots
The East Branch Police were thanked by Mudflat Studios for
their hard work in Community Policing with handmade mugs for the officers. East Somerville Main Streets would like to
take this opportunity to second the notion and recognize the excellent job in
community policing that is happening in East Somerville
under Capt. Devereaux, the commander of the East Station, and his officers.

CAFEH Study Launched Study launched to study I-93's effect on East Somerville Air
Monday, June 22 marked the official launch of the CAFEH study to examine the effects of pollution from Interstate 93 on the health of residents. This study is an important step towards environmental justice for the East Somerville community.
