Survey Success

Over the past couple of weeks, ESMS has spent over 34 hours conducting a Consumer Intercept Survey on Broadway, with tents ablaze with surveying next to the Minutemarket and Taco Loco.
With over 300 surveys collected in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, we hope the survey results will give us insight into what people would like to see, business district dynamics, and a baseline to measure our impact as an organization. Keep your eyes peeled for a summary report in the coming months!
Thank you to everyone who helped out!

Baby, It's Cold Outside...
Fall is in the air, and what better a way to stay warm than to indulge in some hot beverages and foods?
Here are some ideas for fighting off the cold on East Broadway:
~Did you know that Joe's Liquor grinds and brews their own coffee? ~Stop by Los Paisanos for some delicious hot chocolate. Or try atol de elote, a hot Salvadoran corn beverage so thick that it is often eaten with a spoon.
~In the mood for something heartier? Taco Loco offers several soups, including mondongo, a traditional Latin American and Caribbean soup.
~Try a taste of Brazil at Pastelaria Vitoria, sampling a caldo de feijão (bean soup).
~Or, you can never go wrong with a bowl of chili on a cold day. Khoury's serves it up year-round.
