In late June, Representative Tim Toomey came to East Somerville to meet with business owners and hear their concerns, as well as concerns surrounding Sullivan Square's current state.  It was a great visit in which he was able to meet with nearly 15 business owners.

Consumer Survey Kicks Off in September!

Storefront Lights During the weeks of September 20th and 27th, the ESMS Economic Support and Development Committee will be conducting a survey of consumer habits in the Broadway business district. 

Volunteers are invited to help through 2 hour shifts.  A fabulous opportunity to meet neighbors and find out more about your community.  Contact eric@ashmont.net for more information.  

 


August Clay Classes at Mudflat


Storefront Lights

Mudflat is offering clay classes for children, teens, and adults.

Children learn to handbuild with slabs and coils and to work with the potter's wheel.  Adults choose introductory wheelthrowing, handbuilding, or tilemaking classes.

All classes meet twice a week for a total of 6 classes.  Registration is ongoing.  For more information on these or their fall classes, visit www.mudflat.org.

Thanks to efforts by Ward 1 Alderman Bill Roche and the Department of Public Works, the Christmas lights that line East Broadway have been turned on to twinkle year round, creating a night time stroll that would do anyone good!
