East Somerville Community Week Success
Broadway sparkled a little more during the month of October with the efforts of local East Somerville youth, who put their talents to work making anti-litter posters. The posters were hung along the library fence to remind passersby to "put it in the can man" and "give a hoot don't pollute."
And 'sparkling' conversation filled the library at the book discussion of "Seedfolks." Both events were offered as a collaboration between the East Branch Library and East Somerville Main Streets.

And the competition's on! East Somerville Main Streets is challenging business owners to light up Broadway and let their business shine for all to see. The E.S. Main Streets' Promotion Committee is hosting the Broadway Holiday Lights Contest to put a little E. Som creativity and charm on display for the holidays.
Pick up your People's Choice Awards form at TLC Launderers and Cleaner's after December 10th, or send your selection to lights@eastsomervillemainstreets.org.

MUDFLAT POTTERY STUDIO SHOW AND SALE
Mudflat Studio hosts its annual Holiday Open Studio and Pottery Sale, launched with a reception on Friday, November 30, 2007, from 6-10 pm. Sale to run through Sunday, December 9th, offering the work of eighty of Mudflat's resident artists, faculty, and students. On sale: *functional pottery, *sculptural claywork, and *ceramic jewelry.
