High School Group Takes Pico Rivera by Force
El Rancho High School Pico Rivera, CA.
D4C is a Christian group within El Rancho High School who are determined to see lives changed in their school and in their neighborhood. They hosted a free Friday night concert at their school café on February 15th, 2008 and invited hip-hop artists: Urban Ops, Marky Swing and The S.O.G. Crew. They had previously handed out flyers to their school colleagues and neighborhood families in an effort to reach out to them. Their efforts proved successful when a group of teenagers from off the street came in because they heard some hard hitting beats. They ended up realizing they needed change in their lives after they heard the artists talk about their own lives and asked D4C for help. More than 150 people ended up coming to the event and stated that they hoped there will be more of these events for the community.

The S.O.G. Crew Show interviews the owner of Nut House Studio, T Nut, a longtime beat maker to the mainstream hip-hop and rap artists. Host Battle Ax takes the viewer on a journey through a rarely obtained interview about T Nut's life achievements and work.

I met T Nut back in the mid 80's on the streets of Long Beach as he was break dancing against famous breaking pioneers such as Boogaloo Shrimp, Coco and Pop N Taco. At that time T Nut was recognized as one of the best breakers in the world at the age of eight. Back then he was known as Z Rock from the world famous Flour Allusions out of Long Beach, CA. I was able to interview T Nut about his Pioneering Days as a world break dancer which will be aired on The S.O.G. Crew Show. At 16 he had a strong interest in beat making during the time hip hop was exploding in Long Beach with the likes of Snoop Dogg and the Doggpound leading the way. As he grew in music he helped produce long time child hood friend former East Sider Goldie Loc. T Nut later produced music for Snoop and for most of the west coast rap circle. Since then T Nut has branched off into different styles of music and is currently one of the founding members and producer of the band The Pricks. The Pricks have been embraced by the the whole extreme sports market such as surf, skate, motor cross and etc. They have been creating a huge buzz throughout the LA and Hollywood scene and you can here them now on The World Famous KROQ, 106.7. You can check out the interview soon including his thoughts on family and his love for the Lord soon on The S.O.G. Crew Show.
We just want you all to know how much we appreciate all of your friendship and prayers. Please continue to lift us up as we push to go higher in God. Much love and respect from the whole S.O.G. family.
