My First Business
I started my first business when I was in fourth grade, but having grown up on a ranch in Texas, many of the usual ways a kid earns money weren't really available to me.  I couldn't have a lemonade stand or a paper route or mow the neighbors' lawns.  What were my options?

Windows 7...Windows Heaven!
Every couple of years, we all wait for the release of the latest Microsoft Windows operating system.   We listen to the talk, gear up for all of the hype, and we get the idea in our heads of how great the next version will be.  Well, that time has come with Microsoft's latest release of its popular line of client-side operating system products: Microsoft Windows 7.

SDAT Website...More than looking up how much your neighbors paid for their house
Okay admit it, when I say Maryland Department of State Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) website, you either have no idea what I am talking about or you think "That's the where I can check to see how much my neighbors, friends, etc. paid for their house." 

How is Maryland fairing in the National Unemployment Forecast?
One of RESI's projects is to analyze and forecast the Maryland economy, specifically employment.  Lately, the national economy has not performed well.  The latest available national unemployment rate in Nov. was 10%, 3.2 percentage points higher than the rate posted in Nov. 2008.

CGIS launches an exciting new way to view shallow water habitat data (Video)
In 2006, CGIS began working with the Foundation to develop a Web mapping application intended to disseminate data resulting from the Foundation's research of the United States Virgin Islands.

The Division of Economic and Community Outreach annually hosts a staff retreat to reflect on the past year and brainstorm strategies and solutions for the new year!  On December 18th, 80 DECO staff members gathered in the TU Potomac Lounge to network with colleagues and engage in facilitated discussions on presentations by divisional staff.
