We look forward to meeting with you at UEDA's Summit 2009 in San Antonio Texas on October 11-13. The Summit team has organized an excellent agenda. Sharing of ideas and best practices, establishing networks of professional colleagues, and being involved in the San Antonioprofessional organization that serves our profession, are well worth our investment of time and resources. Universities and colleges are increasingly recognized as drivers of economic development. They have become basic infrastructure in our knowledge based economy. As Richard Florida stated, in his book, The Rise of the Creative Class, colleges and universities are "a huge potential source of competitive advantage." We look forward to joining with you at the 2009 UEDA Summit.
