watkins Summit 2009 will provide timely and important topics for higher education and research organizations supporting economic development in such turbulent times.  The Summit will include a number of facilitated forums to give you plenty of opportunities to interact with colleagues and discuss challenges, opportunities, and successes.  This year, UEDA provides you with three ways to participate in Summit 2009 as a presenter.  You may apply for Awards of Excellence, you may consider participating in a panel presentation, and you may apply to facilitate an interactive forum.    Expressions of your interest are wsummit photoelcome now and the application period is open until June 15, 2009.  Visit the UEDA website to obtain the application forms.   We appreciate your interest.  UEDA serves it members most effectively as we all participate and share our experiences and learning.  
 
To help you keep in touch with your colleagues within UEDA, we will highlight at least one member organization every month.  This month, check out the University of Puerto Rico, the Economic Development University Center and University research projects.
