 This month, I have two important announcements for you:
- Registration is open for UEDA's 2008 Summit in November in St. Petersburg. You may register and pay on-line or you may register by mailing the registration form and check to UEDA. Take advantage of the Early Bird registration rate for UEDA Members and register now!
- I would like to encourage you to submit nominations for UEDA Officers and Board Members. You may read all about the positions and obtain nomination forms on www.universityeda.org/about.htm. Please submit nominations to John Roberts by September 1, 2008.

UEDA Summit 2008
Early Bird Registration ends October 1, 2008!

Register today for UEDA's 2008 Summit! The Early Bird registration rate of $395 ends by October 1. After October 1, Summit registration jumps to $445. The Summit is entitled Policy, Practice, & Partnership: Effective Engagement and Emerging Trends in Economic Development and will be held on November 9 to 11, 2008. We are looking forward to seeing you at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront Hotel in November! |
| Nominate Colleagues for UEDA Officer and Board Positions |
The University Economic Development Association (UEDA) is seeking nominations of active UEDA members who are interested in assisting the Association with membership growth, planning, and service development. It is important that these members understand the nature and culture of the Association. Six board positions will need to be filled during the Annual Business Meeting held at the UEDA Annual Summit in St. Petersburg. UEDA members will elect two Officers and four Directors during the Annual Business Meeting. For information about these positions or to make nominations, refer to the nominations documents found on the UEDA website or contact the Chair of the Nominations Committee, John Roberts at (515)294-0932. Pre-Annual Business Meeting nominations will be accepted until September 1, 2008. |
