Roseanne Luth Named Top San Diego CEO

In November, Roseanne Luth, CEO of Luth Research, was named Most Admired CEO in the Private Sector category at an event attended by nearly 700 San Diego businesspeople. Roseanne and nine other chief executive officers received honors at the annual San Diego's Most Admired Chief Executive Officers event.

Many of Luth's employees contributed to the nomination application, which made the honor special and unique. Jacqueline Rosales, Executive Vice President of Business Development & Client Service, stated that "Roseanne Luth's continued commitment to the personal and professional growth of her employees makes this recognition long overdue. Staff members exhibit great loyalty and pride in Luth Research, due largely to Roseanne's commitment to recognizing employee accomplishments and helping each person grow."

On March 4th, 2009 Luth Research hosted its second annual Consumer Trends breakfast. The event was attended by local marketing and research professionals from such companies as Bank of America, Sharp Healthcare, ProFlowers, and NuVasive. The group gathered for breakfast and discussions about how companies can monetize emerging trends to not only identify growth areas in 2009, but better position organizations for success as the economy recovers.

Indicators and emerging trends are derived from Luth's quarterly trend study called IndicatorEDG™. Tracking data on consumer confidence, changes in consumer spending, weekly activities and others allows Luth to discover untapped consumer segments and new ways to learn what's important to consumers- and why.

"Our goal is to give companies ammunition so they are better informed about how segments of the population are changing and how businesses can turn the recession into a growth opportunity", says Dr. Becky Wu, Luth's Vice President of Research and event speaker.

Cal Martin Joins Luth Research
 

Luth Research is pleased to announce that Mr. Cal Martin, a well-respected veteran of the market research industry, has joined the company as a consultant.

His responsibilities include sales and client development and strategic positioning for new markets and products including Luth's trend product, IndicatorEDG™.

Martin comes to Luth with more than 30 years of experience in the market research industry, including nearly 20 years with the Gallup Organization where he served as Senior Vice President and Division Manager, and as a principal of the company where he was recognized as Manager of the Year seven times during his tenure.

Mr. Martin looks forward to working with Luth Research, and anticipates a successful partnership, saying, "I find the Luth organization to be well-positioned for huge growth and corporate success, especially in the B-2-B and Marketing-Services sectors. It is always fun to ride-a-rocket."

Since his retirement from Gallup, he has consulted with several leading market research organizations and members of the Financial/Investment community. In addition to his role at Luth Research, Martin is also the President and CEO of the Martin Group, a Marketing-Services Holding Company.
