Greetings!
We are excited to tell you that MCC Austin will begin offering Creating A Life That Matters (CLM) again in February. CLM is an 18 week transformational spiritual development curriculum developed within MCC for MCC. As a leader at MCC Austin, you are invited to prayerfully consider joining this next wave of CLM. Since this is the first time we have offered CLM in almost two years, registration is open only to current leaders at MCC Austin.
CLM will meet on Monday evenings at church from February 8 through July 19 from 7-9 p.m. (see below for the session dates). CLM is made up of three courses that are six weeks each: Rediscovering Relationship with the Sacred, Rediscovering Relationship with Myself, and Rediscovering Relationship with My Passion. Rev. Karen, Marilyn Buckner and I will facilitate the classes, along with other CLM-certified guest facilitators. The class is limited to the first 20 people who register. The cost for CLM is $180 ($50 per course and $30 for materials). To register, please contact either myself or Karen. The deadline to register is Tuesday, February 2. Scholarships are available. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact either Karen or myself. We're more than happy to tell you more about CLM!
Here's a brief description of each course: Rediscovering my Relationship with the Sacred: While many
would agree that relationship with the Sacred is the fundamental
beginning of all faith paths, this transforming experience is often lost
when we exchange our spiritual vitality for empty religious
practices. In the six sessions of Rediscovering Relationship
with the Sacred, we explore what it means to be transformed by an
encounter with the Sacred, and rediscover loving God with heart, soul
and mind.
Rediscovering my Relationship with My Self: As modern people, we expend time,
effort and money seeking to understand who we are. In
Rediscovering Relationship with My Self, we explore some of
the influences that have shaped us, and investigate ways to create a
self we will want to live with, others will want to relate to, and God
will be able to use in the service of all that is Sacred.
Rediscovering my Relationship with My Passion: Our passions
make us most aware of our personal power, energy and joy. Many
internal and external factors influence how successfully we manifest
these passions in our lives. In the six sessions of
Rediscovering Relationship with My Passion, we explore ways to
manage those factors, and discover what gives us power, energy and joy
as we serve the Sacred through church.
I hope that you will prayerfully consider joining us on Monday evenings this spring as we together begin to discover how to create a life that matters.
