Greetings New Media Fans

Ag communicators seems to be very interested in learning how to utilize social networking platforms and integrate them into communications strategies.  Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube . . . The list goes on.  If you want to get up to speed then arrange for a ZimmComm consultation or training session.
New Media Tip

Although more and more ag communicators have started their own blog there are a lot of you who haven't taken the plunge yet.  So how do you get started?  If you haven't already done so, then you can just Google search for the answer.  You'll find websites like BecomeABlogger.com that have free video tutorials for example.  You might want to look at sites like ProBlogger.com, DailyBlogTips.com or CopyBlogger.com.  You can also hire experts like us but even then you'll still need to develop your own blog writing schedule and skills unless you also want to outsource that as well.  So get started now by going to WordPress.com and creating your first blog!

AgNewsWire: Official Online Newsroom of AMS
 AgNewsWire
We partnered up with BASF during the Agricultural Media Summit in several ways.  They sponsored AgWired coverage of the AMS and between us we sponsored the on-site news room and the online news room (AgNewsWire.com).  As part  of the sponsorship each AMS exhibitor or sponsor was allowed to send 1 news release via AgNewsWire at no charge.  Fifteen companies took advantage of this offer and their release was distributed during the event to our list of over 800 ag journalists and was also posted to the public, online, search engine optimized AgNewsWire.com website which serves as an online archive of ag news releases.  We're open to more such partnerships for any meeting that will be attracting and serving a large number of ag media.
