Greetings New Media Fans

During the last month we not only launched an industry first text news service, AgWired Mobile, but we also started AgWired Live TV.  Read more and see how you can adapt these applications in your business.

  AgWired Mobile

AgWired MobileThe industry's first mobile text news service is up and running and dozens of agrimarketing professionals signed up right away.  You can see some of their feedback below.

Just text the word "agwired" to 46786 with your mobile phone and you'll start receiving AgWired Mobile immediately.

We're only sending out up to a half dozen news items per day, chosen from all the news we get.  It's what we think you'd want to know and it's delivered in a format that lets you get it wherever you are.  You don't even need to go to a website or even use the browser in your phone.  It just doesn't get any easier.

We're seeking a sponsor for AgWired Mobile so if you're interested then contact Chuck asap.

AgWired Mobile is powered by:

Live streaming of video and audio has never been easier than now with new services like Ustream.tv.  We use it for AgWired Live TV.  All you need is a good webcam and microphone and you can be online live.  The service also has a recording function with lets you save the file and post for later viewing.

Where Have We Been Lately? Cindy Doing Interview

The month of April got kick-started with a trip to the LPC/AAEA Regional Writing Workshop in Iowa.  While there Chuck conducted a series of interviews with John Deere AMS for Precision Pays.

Then it was on to the NAMA Convention where we exhibited once again and kept the NAMA Blog up to date.  The lucky winner of our NAMA iPod touch drawing was Willie Vogt, Farm Progress Companies.

Chuck got to travel back from Kansas City and on to the Alltech International Animal Health & Nutrition Symposium for some extreme blogging on AgWired and the Alltech Symposium Blog.

Then he headed off Washington, DC for some media production training at American Farmland Trust and covered the NAFB Washington Watch.  Before leaving town Chuck also covered the RFA Press Conference on the real reason for food price increases at the National Press Club.

Thank you to sponsors of our coverage of these events including John Deere, Renewable Fuels Association and NAFB, Alltech and American Farmland Trust.  We really appreciate and enjoy working with them to create some of the best online event coverage you're going to find anywhere.

Where Are We Going?
indy-500
In May we'll be out and about to a number of locations.  Chuck will be presenting at the TOCA annual meeting in Minneapolis.  Then it's off to the BASF Media Summit in Washington, DC.

Then Laura and Chuck will be covering the Indy 500 once again for the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council.

Looking ahead to June we've got 8 events booked including World Pork Expo, CUTC, CMA Music Festival, EPIC Annual Mtg., FEW, Iowa Indy, U.S. Africa Conference and Farm Foundation Forum.

Consider having us cover your event or sponsor our coverage of an industry event.  Some events coming up we're seeking sponsors for include AgWired coverage of the Ag Media Summit, IFAJ Congress and the NAFB Convention as well as Domestic Fuel coverage of the FEW.

What Others Are Saying
We love getting feedback and fortunately it's usually positive.  Here's a sample of a few comments that we've received recently:

"I just signed up for the text service. Great idea!"

"This is pretty dang cool!"

"Great idea! I just signed up."  These are all regarding AgWired Mobile.

"I've been hearing a lot of good things about the coverage you did for the Buckeye Tractor Cruise and the Show-Me Tractor Cruise.  THANK YOU.  It was a great article and has been another way to heighten people's awareness of what we're trying to do for Camp and this great group of kids. I appreciate it!"  From Tom Brand, KFEQ about a post on AgWired.
