Greetings!
Wow, 2010 is under way, and I'm really excited -- I love the new beginning feeling this time of year brings. Here you see me pictured with my husband Larry at a Christmas party - I love the holidays, but I'm now also reminded that the Christmas cookie season is over!
I'm getting back to eating in a more sensible way, and while I have regular exercise already in my schedule, I've decided to 'raise the bar' on it this year and get more active. It already feels great!
We've recently shared a series of five leadership tips on "Leading Through the Holidays;" as we 'capture the passion' of the holidays and let it build momentum and excitement in our own lives, we can do the same as leaders. Check out today's leadership tip!
And have a wonderful week!

MONDAY MORNING LEADERSHIP TIP #154 Capture the Passion |
|
In the past few weeks, we've looked at five leadership tips on leading through the holidays: (If you missed this, you can find them here.)
-
Give to Make a Difference
-
Focus the Natural Passion
-
Intentionally Connect
-
Renew and Reenergize
-
Recognize Accomplishments
You've worked to maximize your leadership potential and opportunities through the holidays; now the holidays are over, it's time to "capture the passion!"
What kinds of things did you talk about during the holidays that created an excitement about some things coming up after the first of the year? It's time to follow up! Ask yourself, and your team:
-
What excites you about the upcoming year?
-
How are you excited just because you have the team you have?
-
How can you help them feel honored?
-
Is there an event planned that needs momentum built around it?
-
What is a highlight of 2009, and what would you like a highlight of 2010 to be?
Hold a 2010 Brainstorming Bash, Planning Party, Creative Conference, Achievement Assembly, Goals Gathering....call it whatever works for you. Spend time capturing the passion of your team. Create your own questions, tap into anything that your team is excited about, and build on it. Create a culture of enthusiasm - it starts with you!

GIVE YOURSELF THE GIFT OF A LIFE COACH |
|
Would you like a partner walking along side you as you improve your leadership skills?
Research shows that, the effectiveness of learning is increased fourfold when the participant is partnered with a Coach. A 1997 study showed training resulting in 22% increase in effectiveness, and when combined with coaching, it increased to 88%.
I can help you develop what you already possess to reach your goals successfully and effectively.
How does Life Coaching work?
Generally done over the phone, Coaching is client-driven; you decide what you need, where you want to grow, and I provide guidance, support and accountability. Did you know that Coaching can be tax deductible? And Coaching typically qualifies to be financed through dollars required to be specified for training only?
