 Welcome back to work after what I hope was a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend! I can't believe the holidays are here again.
Sometimes providing leadership through the holidays can be more challenging than at other times. As a leader, you have the same challenges as everyone else; too much to do, and too little time!
But you can be a powerful influence during the holidays. It's the perfect time to help your staff believe more in themselves, build their own leadership, as well as your own.
For the next five weeks, the Monday Morning Leadership Tips will focus on "Leading Through the Holidays - Five Tips to be a Powerful Influence." Today is Tip #1 in this series; check it out. And have a wonderful week!

 There are many different giving traditions with staff and leaders. Whether you have a tradition of purchasing gifts, giving in the form of service, or do not have any traditional giving practice, consider this thought.
In some way during the holidays, let your staff know you are serious about their success and their future, that you are their partner in their ongoing personal and professional development. Take the holidays as an opportunity to show that. Perhaps you could:
Perhaps none of these ideas fit your situation, but maybe it will spark other ideas. Plan something to give to your staff in some way that communicates your desire to help them achieve all they want to achieve. Be genuine; work with what fits your culture and your own personality. The idea may not come quickly, but it will be worth the effort! |
