With the holidays right around the corner, it's time to start thinking about choosing a calendar for 2012 to get organized at home and in the kitchen. Chef Kent, Pat Haverfield and The North Texas Food Bank unveil the 2012 Hunger and Thirst Calendar. The Food Bank sells this calendar during the holidays to raise awareness and money for hunger. The calendar has amazing recipe cards from Chef Kent! So for those of you who have been waiting for a cookbook from Kent, here you go! These recipes are exclusive to the calendar, which we are calling a Cookbook Calendar. This is a great way to enhance your kitchen with magnificent food photography, learn new recipes and kick hunger in America. Each month features one of Chef Kent's signature recipes with a recipe cut-out card and a two dollar off coupon for Kent Rathbun Elements (a collection of sauces, dressings, spices and marinades made exclusively for the home chef).
The Hunger and Thirst Calendar is sold at the Dallas and Plano Central Market locations for $19.95 and at NTFB.org for $22.00 (includes shipping). 100 percent of proceeds go to the North Texas Food Bank.
Each calendar purchase provides 80 meals
for hungry North Texans.

HUNGER AND THIRST CALENDAR RECIPE
Each month in 2011, we have featured one of Chef Kent's original recipes which can be found in the 2011 Hunger and Thirst Calendar. We will start on the 2012 recipes in January. Chef Kent, photographer Pat Haverfield and The North Texas Food Bank worked together to bring you this calender which proceeds helps feed the hungry. Each month has a recipe, a stunning picture of the dish, and a tear out recipe card.
