UMD Korean Percussion Ensemble Spring Performance May 1 at UMD

 

The University of Maryland Korean Percussion Ensemble, led by Sebastian Wang of the UMD music department teaching staff and a member of the Korean Focus Board of Directors, will hold their spring 2012 performance at 7:30 PM on May 1 at the University of Maryland. Don't miss an opportunity to watch these outstanding musicians perform the quintessentially Korean art form samulnori.

 

When: Tuesday, May 1, 7:30 PM

Smithsonian ImaginAsia Program on Korean Kites May 5 & 6 in DC 

 

The Smithsonian ImaginAsia program is offering two workshops for kids on Korean kites. Explore the Freer's Korean art galleries and make Korean kites to fly on the National Mall.

 

Dates: Saturday, May 5 & Sunday May 6
Time: Both sessions begin at 2 PM
