Oregon Nonprofit Sector Report
We are thrilled to announce the release of the Oregon Nonprofit Sector Report (ONSR)--an inaugural comprehensive report examining our sector as a whole including size and scope, current condition of nonprofits, clues about their economic and social relevance, and impacts of the nonprofit sector in Oregon.
The report aims to inform decision makers in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors, and will be an important tool for raising public awareness about the overall importance and contributions of Oregon's nonprofits to the state. The ONSR is the outcome of a collaboration between the Nonprofit Association of Oregon (NAO) and Portland State University's (PSU) Institute for Nonprofit Management (INPM), and was generously funded by The Oregon Community Foundation, The Collins Foundation, and the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. You can read and download the report on our website. The ONSR has already enjoyed some great press! Read and share the articles archived in our online News Room. |

Increased Nonprofit Advocacy Resources Coming to Oregon
The Center for Lobbying in the Public Interest (CLPI), which has trained thousands of nonprofits on how to advocate legally and effectively, has transferred its nonprofit advocacy curriculum to the National Council of Nonprofits.
What does this mean for you? Because NAO is part of the NCN's State Association Network, we'll now be able to put CLPI's powerful resources to work for nonprofits here in Oregon. Stay tuned for more details on how these new resources will be available in the coming weeks and months. In the meantime, we encourage you to share your ideas, insights, and inspiration about ways to maximize the effectiveness of nonprofit advocacy by posting comments here.

Member Benefits Highlight: Discounted Technology Support
Too busy to worry about your desktop systems? Is your web browser overrun with toolbars you don't remember installing? Are updates nagging at you, but you question what to accept or ignore?
NAO's expert nonprofit tech consultants are here to diagnose your hardware and software issues--without breaking your tech budget. We offer our nonprofit members two types of desktop support at discounted hourly rates.
Scheduled Support Our tech consultants will come to your office for routine check ups. They'll make sure your systems are equipped with essential updates, protected from viruses and other malware, and running at peak efficiency. Scheduled support is a good option for organizations without onsite IT staff.
On-Call Consulting Have a desktop emergency or one-time set-up needs? Our tech consultants are available for house calls on an as-needed basis. They're quick to assess a situation, and can set up your smart phone, install a new workstation, or help with a variety of upgrades. This option is good for organizations that handle their own technology but occasionally need a specialist to help with a specific project or supplement their daily operations.
Fees Hourly rates are based on your organization's budget size. If your organization's budget is under $2,000,000, fees are $75/hr for Members or $100/hr for Nonmembers. If your organization's budget is over $2,000,000, fees are $100/hr Members or $125/hr Nonmembers.
