Part 2 in the Indirect Costs Series

In the last decade there has been a major shift in thinking concerning what information about nonprofits matters. Due to the growing prevalence and influence of online services such as GuideStar and Charity Navigator, both of which offer data about nonprofits that is increasingly used by philanthropists and others, information-sharing about nonprofits is widespread.

Growing interest, and even debate, about costs associated with management and fundraising - sometimes referred to as indirect costs - is a direct outgrowth of this trend.
