Looking for a Six-Pack?
And We Don't Mean Beer...

Here are the keys to good nutrition for revealing a nice flat and firm
midsection, or that rippling set of six!

1. Avoid starvation diets, you need to be eating every 2-3 hours to
keep your metabolism ticking over all day every day.

2. Eat more high quality protein at every meal, this means lean cuts
of meat, poultry, fish, low fat dairy, eggs, yogurt etc...

3. Eat more clean, fresh and unprocessed fruits and vegetables with
every meal

4. Avoid alcohol, sodas, caffeinated drinks, sports drinks... You should
as a rule be drinking ONLY water.  (Cutting out all sodas, completely, can help you shed & keep pounds off)

5. Avoid any processed or refined carbohydrates, this includes avoiding
bread, pasta, refined sugars in candy, cakes, cookies, pre-prepared
meals... Actually anything that comes in a box, tin or packet. (Yes, this is tough but we can start by eliminating a few items from our pantry.)

Stick to eating fresh, clean and unprocessed foods and you'll have a
leaner, firmer body in no time!

Add Team Xcelerate's FitFunCamp to your weekly routine and get the support and direction that will help you on your road to a healthy, happier you!
Add Some Holiday Spice?

I've noticed that when I start to watch what I eat meal tend to become boring at times.  You don't have to wait until Cinco de Mayo to add some spice to your diet.

I thought I would give it a try and I have to say it can add some great flavor to a meal.

If you are looking for some new recipe ideas then give the fiesta burger a try.

The fiesta burger is a normal hamburger topped with some salsa.  You could choose your own salsa whether it be mild, medium or hot salsa depending on your love of spicy foods (or course we're in New Orleans).

You can adapt the calories by choosing whether or not you have a bun with it.  It actually doesn't need a bun if you have the salsa with the hamburger patty.

You could also try this combination with chicken as well.

Give it a try and let me know what you think of it.

Happy Holidays!
