News for EveryBody
JANUARY 2010
|
Greetings!
So - it's hard to believe, but January is now half over. How did that happen? I have a few announcements for you. First - tomorrow night we are scheduled to have a Fire Walking ritual, and we are also at 80% chance of rain. I will update our website by Noon tomorrow to indicate if we are postponing or gathering. Our rain date will be February 20, 2010, 6p-9p. Next - You may have noticed that JSY received a make-over this month, with newly painted walls, a new orietation for our classes, and new wall hangings. The make-over will be complete this coming Monday, Jan 18, when we gather to welcome and install our new statue of Quan Yin. Please join us as we bless our studio space for 2010 and beyond. This is a free event and open to everyone. We will start in silent meditation at 7:30p. Please feel free to come and go as you need, but respect the sacredness of our time together by being conscious of your noise. Thank you for joining us! And finally - Next weekend there are three events at JSY that might interest you. On Saturday afternoon, Rebecca will offer her New Years Inspiration program. On Saturday evening, to honor Yoga Day USA, I will teach a free Yoga & Live Drumming class at 7:30p. And on Sunday, Brent Cesare will teach the first class of his series on Ayurvedic Medicine. And finally - the last weekend of this month - recording artist and yoga teacher, Wah!, will be here at JSY sharing her musical talents and insight from the depth of her practice. This is a real treat to have her at the studio, so please come share time with gifted yogini! Space is still available. I hope that all of you have a fabulous weekend, and I hope to see you soon on the mat! Peace, Bill Hufschmidt, E-RYT 500, Owner Jai Shanti Yoga |
