Tim Burleson and the Desert Disciples will be performing here!
All in a Fair Play lifetime, special even
famous people make their way to what may seem
like way out in the sticks to Fitzpatrick's.
We hosted a wide and varied assortment of
musical talent over the past 30 years and now
on August 25th Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin,
Neil Diamond, The Doobie Brothers, Garth
Brooks and just about anyone else you can
remember will appear to entertain you from
6pm until the stars are shining bright.
Palm Springs entertainer of the year, Tim Burleson and the Desert Disciples will take you on a musical trip through the many decades we've loved and lived. We're going to pack the house with tickets only $15 in advance and $20 if any are left that night. We'll cook up a special casual menu available a la carte to feed you and keep your energy high for an evening to make summer 2009 something very special. Fitzpatrick's new award winning wines, an assortment of beers and non-alcoholics refreshment will be available all evening. Call us at 530-620-3248 or stop by to reserve your tickets. |

Book a room to catch those perfect starry nights
The Milky Way is straight overhead and packed
with so many stars it paints the sky with a
band from end to end. Add to that the
constant shooting star (or meteors to be more
correct) that streak the sky in all
directions and once in a while run from one
horizon to the next. Lie back on the picnic
tables or up at the pool on the lounge chairs
to keep your eyes heavenly to take in the
whole sky. This simple pleasure of August may
be just what your busy mind and body needs.
We're just about an hour away from downtown Sacramento but a world apart. So you can be here, checked into your room and poolside with a glass of wine in such a short time, why drive 4,5 or more hours when the beauty of the Sierra Foothills is right here. |

Thank you all for such a warm reception
The mother to the left (in the picture right)
holding her son Ryan (9mo) asked quite
frankly if our Katie's daughter Ryan (11mo)
(right) would date a younger man. What's the
chance of two Ryan (s) of the opposite gender
meeting one Sunday morning strolling in
Beverly Hills? Only at the Farmers Market
where thousands come out to shop the hundred
plus market stands full of farmers' harvests,
fisherman's catch and now the winemaker's
liquid gold. What a warm reception our family
and product received from the market managers
and the people of Beverly Hills - thank you.
One gentleman emailed us back already with his comments: Brian- I met you at the Farmers Market today and bought a few bottles of your finest. Finished off the Cab in about 5 seconds with my parents in law-it was wonderful. We all were pleasantly surprised (just haven't heard of winemakers in Fair Play, CA) It is so nice to have the vintners represented at the market. Regards, Jeremy J. O. Esq. Daughter Molly Fitzpatrick and her partner Brian Millard will be representing our family winery every Sunday there in Beverly Hills from 8am to 1pm. Bring your friends and stop by, say hello and uncork the magic of Fitzpatrick wines. I'll be down every other month with another truckload of wine. |

Last chance for Sangre de Montana and what a perfect wine for summer
Sangre de Montana, our Euro -style dry rose
is almost gone so grab a few bottles before
its too late. Also the great vintage of 2006
with its abundant Sauvignon Blanc harvest is
down to the last 10 cases. Now the 2007 new
release is fantastic but there's something
about that unique celery-like character we'll
all miss about the 2006 Eire Ban when its
gone. Those in the know and fans of Tir na
nOG can still enjoy some 2004 vintage if you
ask for it because it not for tasting and
coming off the tasting room list too.
All the new 2006 reds are drinking fine right now and can't wait to uncork their magic at your next dinner or barbecue. Just don't forget to have two bottles of each on hand because these refreshing wines have a way about them that disappears before you know it. A couple of wines that have been overlooked lately but really want your love. Our 2006 Syrah is just waiting for that moment to brighten up your day and that juicy steak or burger with refreshing mouthful of dark black plum and cherry fruit - rich fruit without the sweetness and enhanced with a background of mature oak. Compare, for $16 our Syrah is a BEST BUY. Another overlooked winner is our 2007 Chardonnay. Classic Chardonnay flavor profile, buttery with toasty oak notes, rich but not hot with high alcohol. This Chardonnay can take on roasted chicken, pork, and flavorful fish. Add a little cheese or cream or butter with garlic on your bread or pasta and all the better. Roasted vegetables with a walnut fresh pesto pasta would be perfect with our Chardonnay and that's what's for dinner tonight here. So live a little and enjoy a bottle of handcrafted Chardonnay for only $12 - |

If you're lucky but don't hold your breath - Speak Up!
Little by little Fitzpatrick wines are
finding a little shelf space out there partly
due to Michael Kersten's efforts. You can
find our Sierra Dreams in Orangevale Liquors
and the King's Red XIII in Corti Bros now.
And our best selection outside the tasting
room and Farmers Markets is found at Noah's
Ark Natural Foods in Placerville (Thanks David).
But a new day maybe just around the corner. Fitzpatrick wines have been approved on SaveMart's central buying list. SaveMart is a long time grocer from Modesto that purchased both Albertsons and Luckys to make them several hundred stores strong. Over the next several months we'll be knocking on as many stores as time allows. If you shop at one of SaveMart's stores let the wine buyer know you're looking for Fitzpatrick Wines and someday your wish just may come true - in the convenience of your own supermarket. Of course not in every supermarket because we're still a small family winery, estate grown and like it that way. |
