Fitzpatrick Winery's 30th year Kick-Off Celebration

An El Dorado County's wine pioneer and "Fair Play's" oldest winery starts its 4th decade of making wines with an altitude. Fitzpatrick Winery & Lodge plans a weekend of activities starting May 22 through May 25 for their 30th Year Kick-Off Celebration. The Fitzpatrick family with winemaker Brian and innkeeper Diana Fitzpatrick invite you to come visit one of or all four days this Memorial Day Weekend to watch us catapult into our fourth decade and enjoy select new wines at an outrageous throwback to 1980 prices. Imagine, if you can, world-class premium wines at $5.50 and $6.50. Starting Friday May 22 almost the entire Fitzpatrick lineup of estate grown wines will only be offered in 6-bottle lots for $33.00 and $39.00 plus the Governor's tax. This sale will end Monday May 25th and back to the reality of 2009 pricing so stock up.

We kick-off the weekend with a musical Wood-Fired Oven Pizza Night on Friday evening (reservations needed 530-620-3248) debuting the folk/rock duo Anderson and Graham's return for 2009. Then on Saturday we kick-off our new wine tasting experience with a specially design Wine Tasters' Menu of tasty and nourishing accompaniments to pair while tasting our wines. Wine tasting is free but now you can choose to enhance your experience with a selection from our new Wine Tasters' Menu. Saturday at 3:30pm winemaker Brian Fitzpatrick will bring out a selection of red wines entering their golden age from the Wine Library to taste and re-release in the new garden patio area. Sunday the festivities continue with focus on enhancing your wine tasting experience with our new Wine Tasters' Menu plus a Sunday jam session from 3-6pm. Anderson & Graham will be back and others tba. Bring your own instruments and share some music too. Finally as the big weekend wines down stop by for Mellow Monday. The new Wine Tasters' Menu will be served until we run out. And Monday is your last chance to go back to our 1980 prices.
