Saturday and Sunday March 14 &15
Hitch up your wagon and head on up to the hills this
weekend for your St. Patrick's day fix of our homemade
Guinness beef stew (potato soup for vegetarians),
fresh baked breads, Fitzpatrick wines and Irish beers.
The weather forecast looks great and our deck will be
a great place to soak in some sun to warm your bones.
Lunch will be served from noon until 5PM or whenever the fixins run out. We'll be cookin' up a storm and no reservations are required. But if you can, give us a call and let us know you're coming. Any musicians out there that want to kick off our Sunday jam session, this would be a great weekend to come. We'll keep you fed and well lubricated as a thank you for sharing your music with all of us. |

2006 Merlot and 2006 Eire Ban
Our Buy the Box Club selections for March are two of
my favorite wines: the elegant 2006 Merlot and the
crisp clean Sauvignon Blanc we call "Eire Ban" (Irish
women or Irish white). The deal is 40% OFF when you
buy the case (box of 12). That's $9 and $6 respectively.
Wow!! There's some serious 'Saving of the Green'.
And these two beautiful wines can be enjoyed at the Tasting Room or at the farmers markets for a Buy Two, Get Three deal. |

We've added a third farmers market and more to come.
Fitzpatrick wines and vinegars are coming to a
Farmers Market near you. We just started joining the
year-round Saturday morning Sunrise Farmers Market
with a great reception- thank you.
Fitzpatrick wines and vinegars will also continue to be available on Saturdays in Davis and Sundays at 6th & X in Sacramento. It's a great opportunity to add our organically grown wines to your daily diet and enjoy our tasting room discounts without making a special trip to Fair Play. We find our presence is also a great reminder to plan another trip up to Fitzpatrick's. We're looking into expanding our Farmers Markets and some of the possibilities are: South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, Granite Bay, Roseville, Oakland's All- Organic FM at Jack London Square, Concord and others. |

Come walk through the doors into the future -our 30th winery year
Guess what? Fitzpatrick Winery starts its 30th year this
May. 30 years and walking into our fourth decade of
making wines here in Fair Play is no small
accomplishment and we're all excited. So excited that
the day after Passport Weekend is over, we're digging
up the whole front yard for a complete facelift. Just like
in the "Mother's Letter" when the Irish mother writes to
her son' "you won't recognize the place; we've moved",
the changes we have in store will set us up for an
exciting fourth decade of being the heart and soul of
Fair Play. Not only are we Fair Play's oldest, we are
still the same original owners Diana and Brian
Fitzpatrick.
So in celebration of both our new facelift which will take place in April and the kick-off of our 30th winery year here in Fair Play, we are setting aside the Memorial day weekend to welcome you to our 29th Open House where we'll unveil our new lunch menu, new facilities, new wines, etc.I'll fill you in with all the details in our April newsletter but hold the dates and plan to make a visit that weekend to celebrate with us. I hope as many of our long-time customers come as possible as we would like to get some pictures together for memory lane. |

Joseph William Fitzpatrick
On this St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, the birthday boy
would have been 88. We all miss him but especially
on the Big Day for the Irish. So in your celebrations,
raise a glass in memory of my dad Joseph William
Fitzpatrick. Thanks.
