Coronation of the King's Red XI

You can still be our guest at the Great Feast of King Brendan this Celtic New Year's Eve, aka Halloween, Sunday October 31, 2004 starting at 6pm.

Come and be part of the Cornation of XIth King of Reds. King Brendan's search for a red wine fit for a King started 18 years ago when he dispatched his great vintner to search the lands far and near for grapes to make the King's Red wine.

Join in the Great Feast of wood-fired oven roasted legs of Turkey, lamb shanks and ribs of beef, with fresh hearty bread and all the fixins of a feast. Bring your favorite knife or just tear into these roasted meats. The new King's Red XI will flow freely to wash down the sustenance.

Celtic minstrels called Oisre, meaning Oyster in Irish, have traveled all the way from the great State of Kansas to entertain us with their music of the old country. From the pipes, bodhran, wooden flute to instruments seldom heard, the sounds of Oisre will set the mood for this wild night.

All the King's men and ladies will be in full regalia and you're encouraged to come in costume too! Afterall it's Halloween and we'll all set the stage for a evening to remember for years to come.

At the beginning of the night we'll raid the King's cellar and taste the King's Reds of past. Weather permitting we'll be out on the deck amidst a sea of jack-o-lanterns under the dark star filled skys while we taste the King's Reds of old. Then we'll retire into the cozy Great Room for our Medieval Feast.

There's about 20 seats available and we are just releasing some of our rooms which were on hold. So hurry up and call us at 800-245-9166, email is too slow. And when we're all full at the Lodge, there are three other inns in Fair Play with rooms to accomodate.

The live music of Oisre is a treat no one can beat. The trick is to hurry to your phone and call Lady Di and reserve your seat for King Brendan's Great Feast and the unvieling of the King's Red XI. They'll be treats all evening and good things to eat and drink and great people to share a great night!
