Beautiful wood cabinetry can be used in many areas of the house as seen in the photos (above) of a client's home office/study. A desire for an office of his own, complete with floor to ceiling bookcases, was a dream come true for this homeowner. The bookcases and custom millwork that framed the deep inset windows, as well as the writing desk with decorative inlaid designs were all hand made by a local artisan and belie the fact that this is new construction. The deep green tone of the wall color, wood blinds and paisley patterned valances add to the historic feel of the room. 

       And though the room isn't very large, we were able to include many details - including a computer corner and a window seat with hinged lid that holds hanging files. The bookcases cover the fourth wall, bridge the French doors and continue a short distance to the desk.
