The Missing Piece to ROM Therapy
Optimize all pieces of the puzzle by including a Dynasplint for home use when you can't be with the patient by adding a Knee Dynasplint System in flexion or extension.
We will develop a wearing schedule to fit the patient's needs and lifestyle. Keep the gains between therapy visits with Dynasplint!

Did You Know We Have a Sports Medicine Protocol and a Double-Jointed Knee Unit?

Are you treating a patient with a bigger, stronger knee? Do they need more force or terminal knee extension? If you answered 'yes' to either of these questions, the Sports Medicine (SM) Protocol or a double-jointed knee unit may be the answer.
The SM Protocol is designed to offer the same safe stretch to the joint, just with a bit more force. It can be particularly useful with helping a patient gain their terminal extension. We are able to achieve this level of stretch by simply reconfiguring the strapping system (see the picture above) on the Knee Extension Dynasplint and increasing the tension for short amounts of time throughout the day. At night the patient follows the normal protocol by reducing the tension and wearing the splint longer to benefit from the low-load, prolonged-duration stretching (LLPS).
The double-jointed knee unit offers twice the amount of tension, for a bigger muscular leg, while still delivering LLPS. Call your local sales consultant if you think you have an appropriate patient for either of these options. |
Knee Dynasplint Systems deliver therapeutic stretching for extension or flexion to the knee joint. Our uniquely designed units can improve and restore lost range of motion caused by the following common diagnoses:
- Tendon and ligament repairs (ACL, PCL)
- Tibial plateau/patella fractures
- Total knee replacements
- Open reduction internal fixation (ORIF)
- Burns
- Meniscectomy
- Tendon releases
- Head trauma
- Spinal cord injuries
- Other orthopedic and neurological related conditions
They are available in adult and pediatric sizes and are appropriate for the orthopedic and neurologically involved patient.
