And we are going to support our OUTreach team by decorating spiffy aprons and toques (chef's hats for non-Scrabble geeks). Join April and Jake for a fun, colorful, hands on decorating time!

Homeless Youth Food and Supplies Project
It's here! Our OUTreach food and supplies pantry for homeless youth and youth in need. Last week youth organized donated food and supplies, and now we want to continue to stock our shelves. Can you help? We need shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap and toilet paper. Have some to donate? Stop by OUTreach 3:00 - 7:30 Wednesdays and Thursdays!

Teen Health and Leadership Class 4:30
Next Wednesday is Safer Sex Olympics! This is our last planning meeting before the big event, and the end of this 8 month series of classes. Why does it matter? Because about 50% of all new STIs happen to persons age 15-24. EVERYONE needs to know more so you can be a resource for others! Save the date, September 19, 5:30 for fun Olympic events, pizza and prizes! All ages are welcome, and yes, it's free!

borrow books and videos from our library, create a masterpiece in our Art Center, chill out and play pool, foosball or ping pong, or use one of the computers in our Cyber Center.

GEEK Night! Thursdays these days have a fun geek theme - bring YOUR favorite geeky hobby to share.
Special guest: Nic Maughan!
Nic is our special OUTreach Latter-day Saint liaison, and he has been in Maine all summer, serving as the musical director for a theatre company. We'll catch up on everything that has happened this summer and talk about our new project that we are starting with our friends from Mormons Building Bridges.
Special event this week:
Field Trip to Meet the Candidates Night!
We will car pool and walk to the Church of the Good Shepherd (2374 Grant Avenue, Ogden)and meet the candidates, and more important, let them meet us! The event is 6:30 - 8:00...don't miss it!

Join us THIS Friday, September 14 at the Marriott Hotel in Ogden. Our OUTreach team will serve from 5:00 - 7:00 and an OUTreach group will be there to cheer them on! We'll even give you a fun button to wear. Meet at the Marriott (247 24th St.) lobby to sit with the "cheer" section at 6:00! More info. Under 6 is free, dinner for over 6 is $12. Are you an OUTreach youth who wants to go, but doesn't have the cash? We have you covered! Meet us there at 6:00.

OUTreach volunteers, we love you! Each week during September we will hear from an OUTreach volunteer - personal stories about life and why they care about OUTreach and youth.
To cap it off, we will have a big party Wednesday, September 26 (5:00 - 7:00) - save the date to recognize our amazing volunteers and to welcome new ones into the OUTreach extended family!

Volunteer Opportunities at OUTreach!
| |  Want to make a difference in the life of a youth? 80% of LGBT youth don't know one supportive adult...maybe you have some time and gifts to share!
There are many different ways to share your time and talents at OUTreach. Below are descriptions of available positions. Interested? Email peggy@ogdenoutreach.org.
And...come to our a special Volunteer Appreciation Evening September 26th! We'll have a casual catered dinner at 5:30 and tours and reception at 5:00. Expect to meet OUTreach youth, new and "seasoned" volunteers, and members of the Board of Directors and Advisory Council.
