Energy is high for positive change, and we continue to gather ideas and perspectives as we work together to make Northern Utah safe for ALL youth to grow to adulthood.
At this next event:
Dr. Katerina du Lac will tell us about the project she is filming in Utah, "Take A Stand!"
Panelists include:
- Dr. David Parker, Director of the National Center of Community of Caring and organizer of a bullying conference to be held this summer;
- Julie Van Orden, Weber High School teacher and GSA advisor;
- Sarah Roberts, Ogden School District Principal
- Tori Allen, educator;
- James Humphreys, who had a large part in working for the passage of the bullying legislation last year at the Legislature;
- And most important - YOU! Your ideas, feedback and energy for creating change for safety and love for ALL youth in Northern Utah!
More info at the Event Page.
Our goal for the evening is to gather ideas and feedback for making steps toward change. We will hear what is working well in our schools, plus where change needs to happen. We will also hear from Nic Maughan as we rally for support for LGBT youth in faith communities, particularly our Latter-day Saint allies and friends.
