Join us tonight! A Community Stands up - Northern Utah Addresses LGBT Bullying and Suicide
| |
On April 23, at the community "Bullied" panel, a youth spoke of how his boyfriend was bullied at his school. The morning after we were all shocked to learn that the panelist's boyfriend had lost his life to suicide.
It's time for the community to come together to share its outrage, grief, and to find solutions to homophobia and its devastating consequences.
The community gathers to share stories of hope and heartache, to plan for change, and most of all, to be a loving presence for LGBT youth in Northern Utah.
A candlelight vigil will be held at the end of the event in memory of the many children who have lost their lives to bullying and suicide.
This event is sponsored by OUTreach and many community supporters who want to see love and healing in the community, especially for LGBT youth.
