Special topic this week: SAT Prep!
Dr. Ambrose is a family therapy specialist, and she is volunteering to work with youth, parents, or families. Look for her each Wednesday!
Spirituality Group 4:00-5:00
Our special guest speaker from a few weeks ago, Maureen Duffy-Boose was so popular that we have invited her to facilitate a monthly spirituality group. She will have guest speakers, special topics, and always openness, support and an interest in what you have to share.
Teen Health and Leadership Class
Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30. Week 3 of the 6 week series!
Special Guest Speaker: Lynette Sieger, of the NYU Global Justice program and United Nations. 6:00-7:00
Lynette is the author of several chapters of the Encyclopedia of Justice. She did her undergrad work at Westminster, and grew up in Salt Lake City. She will talk to us about what the climate for justice is in the world, in the U.S. and in Utah. Perfect for this time of the year, with the Utah Legislature in session and so much going on politically. Don't miss meeting Lynette!
What could be better than a baked potato bar, with all of the fixing? Nothing! Kudos to Evelyn and her devoted crew for outdoing themselves every week!

Support our local GSAs!
| | OUTreach sponsors a regional GSA meeting every month for high school and university GSA leaders and members.
We are learning that many of the GSAs are funded by the students themselves, and so OUTreach has been providing funds to purchase posters, etc for the youth to run their groups. And so - we need your help! Please consider donating to help support these youth in their efforts to make schools safe for ALL students and teachers. Studies show that in schools with GSAs, not only are homophobic comments by staff and students reduced, but also racist comments. So let's all pitch in and help! Please send a check to OUTreach 705, 23rd St., Ogden 84401 and write "GSA Support" on the check, or donate securely online through Pay Pal. Look for a thank you card right back from these amazing youth!
And have you "liked" the Northern Utah Regional GSA Group facebook page? Please do, and while you are at it, like the individual school GSA pages, listed on it, too - let's show our support!

Check out the new website!
| | The new website won't just tell you what's up at OUTreach...it also will feature articles, poetry, art and fiction written by OUTreach youth!
This has become a fun, interactive learning event, and we hope you will like it, too!
OUTreach youth are adding more to it every day.
Look for it to be "live" at 7:30 p.m. on February 29:

We are on the MOVE!
| | Yes, it's true - OUTreach has OUTgrown the amazing space that the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden has so generously provided for us! We have been so crowded that we have had to suspend adult programming until we are in a new larger, space. And that's where you come in!
The OUTreach Board of Directors has appointed a site committee, which has been pounding the pavement, looking for a great space in downtown Ogden, close to bus routes and with plenty of room for growth.
Do you have suggestions, ideas, or could you be the angel we are looking for, who would like to help with donated space? If so, we would like to hear from you, and soon, as we need to move so that we can continue provide the best services possible for LGBTQ and allies in Northern Utah. Call us, 801-646-4528! |
