CFGNB is serving your community!
Greetings!

I often feel like autumn is a time of new beginnings. I suppose that seems odd since in nature it marks the end of the annual growing cycle. And, of course, on the calendar, it leads up to the final days of the year. Maybe it's all those years of "back to school" preparation or the energy we feel with the change to crisp, clear weather. Whatever the reason, fall always feels like a great time to turn over a new leaf.

With this first issue of our newly redesigned E-News, you are experiencing our "new leaf." Our hope is to bring you timely and interesting stories on the active role your Community Foundation is playing in the Greater New Britain Community...the people, the places and the most important issues. We also hope you find our new design to be attractive, useful and easy to read and interact with. I invite you to email me to share your thoughts, ideas and questions with us at any time!

Sincerely,

Freedom for Responsibilities
Everyone enjoys time off. We wait for five o'clock. We dream about retirement. Could it be that the elusive restoration we seek in freedom from our responsibilities is actually discovered in seeking freedom for our responsibilities? If Hugh and Lois Penney's lives are any indication, the answer is a definite "Yes!" Click to read more >
