"Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?" James 2:25

Rahab was a prostitute who heard of the great wonders the God of Israel was doing.   When Rahab heard of these wonders they pierced her heart and faith was born. When the Israelite spies came to spy out Jericho Rahab took them in and helped them to escape. Rahab's actions were an outward demonstration of an inward faith. Rahab's faith in God was demonstrated by her willingness to help the spies at the risk of her own life.

True faith is always backed up with action! Our faith or lack of it will be shown in the way we respond to God's Word. Rahab's faith was rewarded as her life and that of her house was sparred, as Jericho fell. Our faith will always be rewarded! When we trust God's Word and allow it to move us to action, the blessings of God will overtake our life, just like they did Rehab! Trust God' Word! Allow the Word to move you to action! Live the blessed life of faith!

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6
