"But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit," Titus 3:4-5

As a child of God this new life we have obtained began with mercy when we were "born again" and it will end with mercy when our Lord calls us home. We are living a life of mercy! It is not a life of self-justification, where my rights and wrongs are weight out to see if I'm deserving. No, it's a life of freely receiving God's grace daily, despite my failures and short comings. I'm blessed by God not because of what I do, but because of who I am, and what Jesus has done. And likewise, because of who I am I spend my life dealing out the mercy I have received from a gracious God to a lost and dying world. How could we make a day without the mercy of God? It's not possible! You can't earn God's mercy, and you don't deserve it, but you can humbly receive it. Live a life of mercy, choosing to receive it and to give it freely. Let your life be filled with mercy!
