"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal." 1 Corinthians 13:1

Love, it is the distinguishing earmark of the child of God. Love, it tells the rest of the world who we are. The love that pronounces the true identity of the child of God sounds differently the love the world knows. This love never gives up; it cares more for others than for itself; it doesn't want what it doesn't have; it doesn't exalt itself; it's not prideful; it doesn't force itself on others; it doesn't have to be first; it doesn't fly off the handle; it doesn't keep track of the sins of others; it doesn't celebrate when others grovel. This kind of love does take pleasure in truth; it endures; it always trusts God; it looks for the best in others; it never looks back; and it keeps going to the end! This is the love God demonstrated towards us when He gave His only begotten Son for us! This kind of love makes a distinct sound, and testifies to the life of a true child of God!

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35
