"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19

Because of all the sexually immoral things that were going on in the Corinthian Church they are reminded of who they are. They were reminded that God had purchased them with His own blood, and they no longer belonged to themselves. Now the Spirit of God was actually living inside them, and they were to be guided by Him. They were also to honor God with their bodies, which were now under "new ownership", with a "New Resident"; the Holy Spirit.

We must never forget we are temples of God; God literally lives inside us. When we dishonor our bodies we are taking God's House and treating it with no regard to His Spirit that is living inside us! We are not our own! We are to be living sacrifice, freely yielding all that we are to the service and honor of our Lord. Romans 12:2 says, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." It is reasonable to present to God what He has paid for! God laid down His life for us, daily we should do the same for Him!

"For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
