"So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho." Joshua 3:14-16

God told Israel to cross the Jordan River, this was no easy task, as the Jordan at this time of year overflowed her banks.  This was a difficult task for man, but not for God.  It only required some faith on the part of the priest, for as soon as the feet of the priest dipped in the edge of the water, the water withdrew.  They had a word from God, and they went forward on that word regardless of what they beheld with their eyes.  True faith that is from God never disappoints! 

Faith, it comes by hearing the word of God, but it is not manifested in our life until we act on that word.  Faith that is real works!  Real faith is hearing the word of God and allowing it to move you to action regardless of what other people or your own senses may tell you.  Trust God's word even though you don't understand, and allow it to move you in fulfilling God's plan for your life daily.  Live a life of faith, a life of action, moved by the word of God!
