"He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform."  

Romans 4:20-21

Abraham was promised by God that he would become a great nation. A son was to be given to him, born from the loins of himself and Sarah. Twenty five years had passed sense God had promised this to Abraham, and still he had no son. Yet we must never forget, to God time is irrelevant when it comes to His Word being fulfilled. God had told Abraham that he and Sarah would have a son, and from the moment God spoke that promise it was as good as done. Even though it seemed humanly impossible to receive what God had promised, Abraham chose not to focus on his own impotence and say, "It's hopeless!" He didn't become wishy-washy with the promise God had given him. Abraham plunged head first into the promise of God, and came up strong; sure that God would do just as He had said. Abraham trusted God, and he was not disappointed! Let us hold tight to the promises of God as Abraham did, plunging head first into His Word! Let us not doubt God, tippy toeing around His Word! Let us plunge in!!!
