| Thank You, Oshkosh! | |
Thank you to everyone who was able to visit our booth at this year's EAA AirVenture in Wisconsin.
We loved being able to meet so many new people and had a great time of fellowship with our fellow missionary aviation organizations from around the world. Thanks for stopping by!

| Caring for the People of Alaska | |

Fostering true change is difficult for many Alaskan villages due to the lack of connecting roads. Exposure and access to Christian influence and care is likewise limited. Less than 100 villages have any established evangelical church, pastor, or missionary presence; and many have no followers of Jesus Christ. When there is a pastor or missionary in the village, they are also isolated and cutoff from the normal spiritual and support networks typically afforded other Christian workers. Pastors and missionaries in village churches are fighting an uphill battle to share Christ in meaningful ways to an increasingly hard-to-reach population.
Fortunately there is hope: Jesus Christ's unconditional love! MARC exists to help bring the life-changing power of Christ to the Alaskan people and their communities by supporting the many pastors, missionaries, evangelists, churches, and other ministry agencies working here. We believe spiritual change within the villages is a core imperative in halting today's downward spiral of needless death and suffering in the Native Alaskan community. So, our efforts are ultimately focused on individual hearts because once the redemptive power of God's love has truly transformed an individual's internal will and desires, we know the positive external change will be powerful in the community also.
Thank you for sharing our love for the Alaskan people! Each of our pilots, mechanics, and other MARC staff are here for the purpose of impacting their lives with the hope of Jesus Christ. We couldn't do it without you!

| Combined Federal Campaign |
This year for the first time ever, MARC has gained approval to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which allows federal employees to designate charitable contributions directly to MARC during the 2012 campaign that will run from September through December.
MARC has been approved as a national/international organization, which allows federal employees assigned anywhere--including outside of Alaska--to contribute to MARC. We praise God for opening the door for this new stewardship opportunity. Now here's where you can help! Even if you're not a federal employee, which includes military personnel, chances are you know someone who is. The majority of federal employees already participate in CFC annual giving and with your encouragement might consider making their donation to MARC this year. Please help us spread the word!
If you're a federal employee yourself and already contributing to MARC, perhaps this would be a great opportunity for you to increase your giving without additional financial strain by shifting your CFC contributions to MARC. If you currently designate your MARC donations to a particular ministry area, you can still do that with your CFC giving-just let us know. More information is available on our MARC website or by contacting us at marc@marcalaska.org or (907) 262-5388.

Ministering in Point Hope, Alaska |
The negative statistics of abuse, assault, alcohol, drugs, depression, isolation, suicide, and murder within Alaska are heartbreaking and certainly portray that hope is a scarce commodity to many here-particularly within the rural Native communities. But, behind each of these statistics are individual human beings-and they matter greatly to God and us! While we're acutely aware of the physical needs and work daily to make a positive difference in the villages, our focus remains upon the spiritual void and the hope that only God can truly provide.
Our summer has been filled with incredible ministry opportunities across the state. Of course, we have been thrilled to support the many Bible camps making a direct difference in the lives of the Alaskan youth, but we have also been privileged to support other meaningful work being done across the state by organizations such as Campus Crusade for Christ, SEND International, Samaritan's Purse, and several ministry teams from churches across the nation these past two months.
From supporting plumbing repairs to major construction events, from facilitating women's Bible studies to major denominational events, from carrying propane fuel for heating pastors' homes to counselor and staff teams for Bible camps, MARC has loved being used by God this summer! We praise God for His faithfulness in keeping our MARC pilots and precious lives safe during the 108 takeoffs & landings these past two months alone. We're also thankful for God's safety in our maintenance operations where He has kept our mechanics properly equipped and safe despite our busy summer schedule of hangar and facility improvements.
We would like to say a special "THANK YOU!" to the many volunteers, interns, and work teams who spent part of their summer with us here in Alaska! Their sacrificial service made our hangars, office floors & walls, and equipment sparkle with new coats of paint and upgrades. Wow... we're truly blessed!
