Urgent Need | | |
Kokrine Hills Bible Camp sits 350 miles north of Anchorage and 200 miles west of Fairbanks on the Yukon River. Transportation is in jeopardy for their final kids camp this month. MARC would like to raise $5000 to help ensure all the kids who want to attend camp this summer are able.
Will you help?

The Flight Plan |
July / August 2012 |
It's not too late... jump in the fun with us this summer and help MARC fly kids to Bible camp! We're eager to fly more kids than ever this year, because these camp sessions make an incredible difference in the lives of the youth who are able to attend!
Would you consider making a special donation to help make these life-changing opportunities possible? Typical round-trip cost to Bible camp is $378 per child for the remote villages where we minister. Perhaps your church, Sunday School, or small group would be interested in participating in a special offering to help fund a portion of the flight expenses for kids to camp this summer.
Time is of the essence because summer is a relatively short event here in Alaska. Please pray with us that God will provide the needed resources for the youth of Alaska!
Online donation options are available here, or you can mail contributions to MARC, PO Box 511, Soldotna, AK 99669.

Flying into Tanalian Bible Camp |
|
| Giving Wings to Alaskan Missions | |

Over the past several years, MARC has been blessed to fly in support of Samaritan's Purse as they have been refurbishing a fishing camp in Port Alsworth to serve as a healing retreat for wounded military service members.
We were recently honored to support the 21 June dedication service attended by Alaska Governor Sean Parnell, Franklin Graham, other dignitaries, and special military guests, as the facility officially opened.
Pray with us as Samaritan's Lodge Alaska helps share God's love with injured military heroes and their spouses over the coming years.

Grace to Alaska
For 14 years Grace Christian School has been the "hands and feet of Christ" to the youth of village Alaska. Each year mission teams from Grace Christian visit six villages with two different teams of high school students and teachers. Over the years Grace has established long-term relationships with seven villages: Nulato, Nondalton, Kokhanok, Stebbins, Koyuk, Elim, and Gamble.
Students train for nearly four months using materials from Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and Youth with a Mission (YWAM). Due to the plague of suicide touching Alaskan villages, Grace students are also trained in suicide prevention techniques. Many relationships have been established with the village youth, and the students continue these relationships using social media like Facebook and e-mail. They "listen" during these conversations for the tell-tale signs of crisis in the lives of friends, and then students reach out to their village friends and seek help if they believe their friends' lives may be in danger.
Sue Heritage is one of the adult leaders responsible for these trips. As Sue explained the detailed preparation that goes into these trips, she assured me they "could not do this without MARC." The safe, reliable, and affordable transportation provided by MARC is critical to the success of each trip.
Grace's long-term commitment to ministering in the villages is bringing eternal results! The first night we were in Nulato this year, many villagers in their early twenties came to the gym for the program. We later found out these young adults had first encountered the Grace teams back when they were Kindergarten age. Even though the activities no longer involve these young adults, they came out to see the students interacting with their younger relatives, and in some cases, their own children. They watched the interaction with a demeanor that told me they had fond memories of their times with the Grace teams. I was very impressed by the deep relationships these teams have established!
