Each March, inspiring Iditarod teams reenact the lifesaving race that carried the cure to diphtheria stricken Native Alaskans in the remote village of Nome back in 1925. Today, delivering hope is no less essential for the youth of Alaska as they endure the heartbreaking norms of suicide, alcohol, addiction, and abuse that constantly inundate their lives.
We believe the unconditional love of Jesus Christ is the cure! Once the redemptive power of God's love has truly transformed an individual's will and desires, that internal spiritual change also provides powerful strength to help overcome the external despair and hopelessness.
You can help us carry the cure! This March, MARC will be flying the non-profit Christian organization appropriately named Carry the Cure, along with the internationally known Native American musical group Broken Walls to minister to the youth in six remote Alaskan villages in conjunction with the famed annual Iditarod Trail sled dog race. This highly-effective team is dedicated to the eradication of youth suicide and substance abuse, and they share our love for the youth of Alaska.
In addition to our two aircraft and crews flying in support of this trip, we are excited to have a Lantern Vision videographer on board to capture the ministry trip on film and to help us provide global awareness of the spiritual needs of remote Alaska. Flying costs will be approximately $10,000 and filming expense will be $3,000. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for MARC to help minister to many kids in remote Alaska and to share this unique story with a larger Christian audience around the world.
Would you consider making a special donation to help MARC carry the cure and offer Christ's life-changing difference to the youth of Alaska?
